Conan O'Brien Brings Comedy Tour to Bonnaroo

They began lining up at 5AM: nearly 2,000 Conan O'Brien fans vying for a seat inside the air-conditioned comedy tent to watch the former 'Tonight Show' host's 'Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour.'Performing two sets at this year's Bonnaroo, O'Brien's show was simulcast on additional screens to accommodate the Team Coco fanatics -- 700 sitting next door in the cinema tent and several thousand more farther down the road at the Lunar Stage.
Most comedians who perform at Bonnaroo are able to capitalize on the absurdity of 100,000 music fans gathered on a farm in Tennessee, and Conan was no different.
"In six months I've gone from hosting 'The Tonight Show' to performing in a refugee camp," he said, referring to the sweaty, dehydrated masses wandering around.
During his hour-and-a-half set, fans also learned a few things about Conan: During the two-month stretch between leaving NBC and going on a headlining tour, Conan ate pizza, drank Bud Light, gained weight and grew unsightly facial hair; the eight steps he took to get over the loss of the 'Tonight Show' were "denial," "blame myself," "blame everyone," "anger," "paranoia," "36 hours of Red Bull and Halo," "buy everything Amazon says I would also like" and "get your ass to Bonnaroo."
This primarily being a music festival, Conan graciously closed his show out with covers of 'On the Road,' 'I Will Survive' and 'The Weight' before walking into the crowd to greet his fans.
