Pete Doherty Denied Entry Into the US at Airport
Well, this shouldn't come as a surprise. When Libertines lead singer Pete Doherty arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City on Thursday, he was reportedly denied entry into the US and missed a performance with Sean Lennon.According to BrooklynVegan, Lennon announced that Doherty made it to JFK only to be met by police, who ordered the musician to travel back to the UK. Doherty was scheduled to perform at the Corduroy magazine launch party that evening alongside Adam Green, BP Fallon, Lennon and birthday girl Irina Lazareanu, who dated both Doherty and Lennon.
Although no one is sure exactly why he was turned away at the New York City airport, visa issues or the rocker's numerous drug offenses could be the reason. Check out the video below of Lennon's announcement from the show.
