Coldplay Star in Ash's Bloody Video for 'Binary'

It looks like Chris Martin has been learning a few things from wife Gwyneth Paltrow's drama skills. Martin, along with fellow Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland, starred in 'Slashed,' a homemade horror flick that Northern Irish rockers Ash filmed in 2002. While the Ash never really turned the movie into a full feature, they recently premiered it online as the latest music video for their single, 'Binary.'

Channeling the spirit of iconic detectives Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, Martin and Buckland are given the task of finding out who is chopping up innocent people in one hotel. Delivering, at times, nonsensical dialogue, the two show off their dry humor in this video.

"I thought they were incredible!" Ash frontman Tim Wheeler said in an interview on Coldplay.com. "They really showed us up. They brought an air of professionalism to the whole thing and they were really game for the laugh of it. Later on in the film, they get totally doused in blood and they were absolutely fine with it. They were both really funny as well. It's good to see their comedy side."
