Sally Seltmann, 'Dream About Changing' -- Video Premiere
- Posted on Jun 14th 2010 11:00AM by Mike Ayers
Formerly known as New Buffalo, Australian singer-songwriter Sally Seltmann is finally coming out of her shell. Not only has she ditched her stage alias for her new record, 'Heart That's Pounding,' but in the her video for the '60s doo-wop-inspired song 'Dream About Changing,' we follow Seltmann on the outskirts of Melbourne, where she's guarding what looks to be a dinosaur egg and has an encounter with a strange family. "We shot the clip on a freezing cold day in Melbourne," Seltmann, who co-wrote Feist's '1 2 3 4,' tells Spinner. "[It] made me have respect for models who do bikini shoots in the middle of winter! The grass family was amazing. I love their costumes."
During the video, Seltmann takes a drive, ends up at a lake and gets a mysterious whisper in her ear. She then proceeds to hang out with a family that's either made of grass or chooses to wear grass as day-to-day clothing -- it's not that clear. While the video's ending is a bit vague, it seems like Seltmann is excited about shedding her past and moving onto greener pastures -- or at least to greener people.
