The doctor facing charges related to the death of Michael Jackson has been told he can continue to practise medicine in California as he awaits trial for involuntary manslaughter.Michael Jackson's parents Joe and Kathrine, as well as siblings Tito and La Toya, were present at a brief procedural hearing in Los Angeles on Monday, June 14, as Judge Michael Pastor ruled he did not have the power to ban Dr. Conrad Murray in the run-up to his trial.
The decision comes as a blow to the California attorney general who had sought to have the 57-year old cardiologist suspended, the BBC reported.
The defendant's lawyers argued that without his medical license Murray would be unable to pay his legal fees. They stated that although he has no intention of working in California such a ban would effect his chances of practising in Texas and Nevada.
Judge Pastor refused to uphold the state's request, saying, "I do not have the ability to revisit a ruling by one of my colleagues."
Murray is alleged to have administered a lethal dose of Propofol and other drugs, which resulted in the pop star's death on June 25 last year, days before he was due to play a residency at London's O2 Arena.
A condition of Dr Murray's bail is that he does not administer Propofol.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 23.

If this Doctor is allowed to practice in California or any state in the USA, who would go to him for treatment and what hospital would give him privledges?
