With policeman around the world constantly on alert for terrorist activity, errors are bound to be happen: electric toothbrushes in suitcases set off bomb detectors, airline passengers catching a smoke in the bathroom cause emergency landings and hirsute musicians get mistaken for terrorists.Mark Oliver Everett, aka E from Eels, found out about that last example the hard way when he was questioned by police in London, as NME reports. The singer was relaxing in Hyde Park during a press tour, and the cops stopped him because he fit the description of a wanted terrorist. Thankfully, he was quickly let go once they realized they had the wrong man.
"Not every guy with short hair and a long beard is a terrorist. Some of us just want to rock," Everett reportedly said after the incident. Eels are currently prepping the August release of 'Tomorrow Morning,' their third album in two years, and will be performing around the world starting at the beginning of that month.
