Passion Pit Cover Smashing Pumpkins' 'Tonight Tonight' for Levi's

Just as She and Him tackled Ricky Nelson's 'Fools Rush In' and Dirty Projectors rehashed Bob Dylan's 'I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine' for Levi's Pioneer Sessions, Passion Pit have now put their own spin on the Smashing Pumpkins classic, 'Tonight Tonight.

Michael Angelakos and company's version features his trademark high-pitched vocals -- yes, way higher than Billy Corgan's -- over a spacier, much less anthemic version of the tune, which originally appeared on the 1995 album, 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.' Of course, Passion Pit also swap out the guitars and strings of the Pumpkins version for their usual synth-heavy approach.
