AC/DC Brothers Win Songwriters of the Year Award

AC/DC brothers Malcolm and Angus Young have been named Songwriters of the Year at an awards ceremony in Australia. The Aussie rockers picked up the gong at the APRA awards held this week in their home country, reports Digital Spy.Other winners at the APRA awards included Temper Trap, who won Song of the Year, and Empire of the Sun, whose members picked up the Breakthrough Songwriters award.
On a more local level, Aboriginal musician Jimmy Little won the Ted Albert Award For Outstanding Service to Australian Music.
The award success is a further shot in the arm to AC/DC, who are seemingly riding on an unstoppable train of success at the moment, with their greatest-hits-of-sorts album 'Iron Man 2 OST' topping the European album chart on release, as previously reported by Spinner.
The band also headlined this year's Download Festival and brought their own stage to the event, which saw acts such as Rage Against the Machine and Aerosmith also play headline slots.

If that means not growing up.....well SO BE IT! Hey, it beats the hell out of being a stick up someones rear end. YOU enjoy life YOUR way and I'll enjoy it MINE, just remember you are either the rain or the parade. The choice is yours.

And as for raidrmik67: I wouldn't be bragging about writing the music OR lyrics for that trashy, juvenile band. I guess they would be timeless for all of you people who never grew up. These "men" primarily appeal to immature boys and men. For any women out there who like them, infer what you must!
