Weezer Collaborate With Ryan Adams on New Album

If the World Cup anthem 'Represent' wasn't enough new music for Weezer fans, frontman Rivers Cuomo reveals he just wrote a song with the prolific, genre-hopping Ryan Adams."Not Bryan, Ryan," Rivers joked to MTV Radio. "It's a very stirring and emotional and powerful Weezer song. He was really inspiring to work with ... He has a lot of wild and crazy energy. It's gonna be on the Weezer record. He plays lead guitar on it, but it will be on the Weezer record, for sure."
Speaking of that record, Cuomo is promising the proper follow-up to 'Raditude' will arrive sooner than later. "I don't know what I'm supposed to say here, so I'm going to keep my mouth shut," he explained. "But, uh, people are going to be hearing new Weezer very soon."
In the meantime, Weezer has hooked up with the US Soccer Federation for its 'Represent' video, which has served as the team's unofficial theme tune during the FIFA World Cup. Cuomo -- a rabid soccer fan who has attended several World Cup matches in the past and once had his bandmates to don uniforms for a publicity photo -- penned the tune to pledge his support of the team.
