Chamberlain, 'Raise It High' -- New Song

Sometimes all it takes for a band to dust off is seeing a younger band shining where they once stood. In the case of Chamberlain, that younger band is the Gaslight Anthem. "We are indebted to the Gaslight Anthem guys for igniting the fire beneath us that stoked these songs," Chamberlain's Adam Rubenstein tells Spinner. "And a special thanks to [Gaslight's] Brian Fallon for lending his voice to an old favorite." Fallon sings on a remake of Chamberlain's 'The South Has Spoiled Me,' the B-side to the song 'Raise It High,' from the band's surprise new seven-inch single, which is now also available digitally. "Recording these two songs was like nothing Chamberlain had ever done before," says Rubenstein. "Residing thousands of miles apart from one another, we were forced to collaborate through a frenzied series of emails, uploads and phone calls. Although I was skeptical this would even work from a creative standpoint, the band could not be more thrilled with how the finished product turned out."
We hope that's a sign of things to come. Check out 'Raise It High' after the jump.
