Not a band to shy away from a bit of scandal, Babyshambles encouraged fans at this weekend's T in the Park festival to take on bottlers in the crowd. The band, who played the final day of the three-day festival in Balado, Scotland, were subject to bottle throwing from the crowd before guitarist Mik Whitnall spoke out, reports NME.
He said to the crowd in at NME/Radio 1 stage, "Next one who throws a bottle, beat the f--- out of them, I dare you!'
Other acts playing at the festival included Muse, Jay-Z and Eminem -- who entered the stage jubilantly thinking that he was playing in Edinburgh – despite the festival being nearly 30 miles away from the Scottish capital.
The event however was marred when festival-goer David Catto died on the first night from a suspected asthma attack.
As previously reported by Spinner, Babyshambles recently provoked rage of a different kind from their audience after the band appeared at a London with a lineup change, with gig-goers feeling short-changed at the unfamiliar band members onstage.
