New Bryan Ferry Album to Include Brian Eno Collaboration

As Roxy Music gear up to headline the Lovebox Weekender in London's Victoria Park on Saturday, July 17, details have emerged of singer Bryan Ferry's new solo album, 'Olympia.' Originally mooted as a Roxy Music album, Ferry's new collection features something of an all-star cast and is set to include -- for the first time since 1973 -- a team up with bandmates Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay and Brian Eno. However, somewhere along the line, Ferry decided that the album would be a solo album and, in addition to his Roxy Music bandmates, the record is set to feature guest appearances from Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, Primal Scream bassist Mani, Scissor Sisters, Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood and well as Red Hot Chili Peppers' bass-worrier Flea.
Set for release on October 25, the album is set to include two cover versions in the shape of Tim Buckley's 'Song to the Siren' and Traffic's 'No Face, No Name, No Number.'
So, while this isn't a proper Roxy Music reunion in the strictest sense, it's probably the closest that fans will get to one. But who knows? Given that the feud between Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Roger Waters has simmered enough for the pair to play together recently, it seems that just about anything is possible.
