Lily Allen Pulls Out of Benicassim Due to Health Concerns

Lily Allen has dropped out of Spain's Benicassim Festival at the 11th hour on doctor's orders, due to poor health.

Metro reports that the solo star was supposedly on the mend having suffered an undisclosed medical condition, but had to pull out of the festival for the second year running after her health worsened.

Allen apologised for her no-show via her Twitter account, saying "My deepest apologies. I really am truly sorry. I was so excited but the doc wouldn't allow it." This came after the artist pulled out of a string of promotional engagements, including an appearance on Channel 4's Chatty Man show with Alan Carr.

The 'It's Not Fair' singer said of her absentee record, "I hate letting down my fans. I've done this four times over the past two years, sadly Spain has had a raw deal or a lucky escape depending on which way you're looking at it. Sorry Benicassim."

While rumours have been quashed that Allen has been pregnant, she is yet to reveal the cause of her current health issues.

So far, reports suggest this year's festival on the coast near Valencia has been a success, with storming sets from Gorillaz and Dizzee Rascal, after a fire disrupted 2009's proceedings. The four-day bash wrapped up last night, July 18.
