The New Yorkers have also have just headlined their first UK festival, closing the Sunday night (July 18) at Latitude in Suffolk, which the band said was "exciting," as previously reported by Spinner.
It's not been all good news for Vampire Weekend however, as the band has been hit with a lawsuit.
The cover star on their album 'Contra,' former model Kirsten Kennis, is suing the band for £1.3m ($2m). Kennis claims the signature on the consent form was forged, she had no idea that the 1983 photo of her was being used on the sleeve and she had not given her permission, as reported by Spinner on July 16.
The schedule for the VW UK tour so far meanwhile is as follows:
Blackpool Empress Ballroom Arena (November 25)
Wolverhampton Civic Hall (November 26)
Edinburgh Corn Exchange (November 28)
Sheffield O2 Academy (November 29)
Brighton Centre (December 1)
London Alexandra Palace (December 2)
