"We are not that far away from being able to set up our own website where ultimately almost every show we ever played will be available for download," guitarist Guy Picciotto told fan site World of Fugazi. The group -- on hiatus since 2002 -- has been hard at work building a new website and intends to roll out the first batch of shows by late 2010 or early 2011.
The effort is just the latest in a long run of D.I.Y. initiatives by the band, which also featured Ian MacKaye, Joe Lally and Brendan Canty. For years, Fugazi prided itself on a $5 entrance fee to its shows, even if it meant seeking out alternative venues like VFH halls. Its last studio album, 'The Argument' was released in 2001.
