The Damon Albarn-led band will now take in North America, Asia and Australasia at the end of the year as part of the 'Escape to Plastic Beach' tour.
According to their official website, they will hit North America in October -- with dates and venues still to be confirmed -- before taking their renowned live show to Australia and New Zealand in December. There's also a gig planned for Hong Kong, though the date and venue are yet to be confirmed, as well as gigs in the UK and Europe in November, with two massive dates at the London 02 Arena on Nov. 14 and Nov. 16.
It's not been all good news for Gorillaz of late however, with Public Image Ltd supremo John Lydon attacking the band -- calling them "sh--", as previously reported by Spinner.
In a video interview with NME, he slated the band for lack of originality and called them a "melange of 'shi--". The rant came shortly after the former Sex Pistols frontman revealed that he had turned down the chance to collaborate with the band.
Meanwhile, the Australia and New Zealand tour dates can be found on their website, with the North American dates to be announced shortly.
