Kings of Leon Announce Fifth Album, 'Come Around Sundown'

Believe it or not, it's been two years since Kings of Leon released their breakout -- in the US anyway -- fourth album, 'Only by the Night.' Now the Followill clan will see if they can keep that momentum up with the announcement that their fifth album will hit stores in October.

Just like their previous four albums, the fifth LP gets a five-syllable title: 'Come Around Sundown.' According to the press release, the quartet reunited with producers Angelo Petraglia and Jacquire King and began recording in February of this year. The record will hit UK shelves on Oct. 18 and in the US a day later.

The platinum-selling 'Only by the Night,' which featured a lighter touch than the band's previously Southern rock-influenced sound, yielded two hit singles, 'Sex on Fire' and 'Use Somebody.' Between those songs, Kings of Leon took home four Grammys, including Record of the Year for the latter track. The band is set to wrap up a North American tour, during which they've been performing new songs such as 'Radioactive' and 'Mary,' on Sept. 23.
