The show marked the second of their two dates in the UK, having played in Manchester the previous night.
NME.com reports that Wu Tang frontman RZA rapped over the Beatles track to conclude a night where the Clan played a host of old material, particularly tracks from their 1993 album 'Enter The Wu Tang (36 Chambers).'
Earlier this year, British producer Tom Caruana released a mash-up album for free download of Wu-Tang Clan lyrics set to Beatles songs, called 'Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers.' It has been six years since Danger Mouse experimented with this concept with 'The Grey Album,' mashing the Beatles 'The White Album' with Jay-Z's 'The Black Album.'
This tour was the Wu Tang Clan's first since 2007, with RZA telling the crowd, "It is the year 2010 and Wu-Tang Clan are on tour. Manchester was off the hook last night. This is the last night of our tour so we're going to save the best for last."
The crew were missing usual member Method Man, who was unavailable due to filming commitments on 'CSI'. RZA acknowledged both his absence and that of former member Ol' Dirty Bastard, who died of an accidental drug overdose in 2004.

Rap : a poor excuse for not being able to sing !!!!!!!!!!
August 07 2010 at 12:10 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMy good friend and skydiving buddy Howard Dean(the stand-up comic, NOT the Howard Dean of "political scream fame" used to say RAP? I'll give it a "C". But put the C in front. Meaning of course C-R-A-P. Not surprisingly, 15 years later, I still agree. While growing up I came to understand that to "rap" was to "communicate" with someone. That unintelligible mish-mash of propfanity is not communication. It seems more like an animal grunting while expelling waste.

I've been looking for Howard Dean for a very long time - not a bill collector - I promise - just a dear friend who lost touch. If you are still connected - can you please share my information with Howard?!?! Pam Hope (the matchmaker and party planner) - 714.603.3073 or pammyhope63@gmail.com. Thanks!
Rap and music are two different things in my eyes..I can even rap if given the right beat to follow along to."walked out of the house the other day, looking at the b---h, I just couldn't stay..." .Making and composing music, a little more involved..

August 06 2010 at 10:09 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIt's really a shame when junk like this celebrity wannabe act decises to butcher the fine music of the Beatles.Of course, rap is the feeble attempt of untalented individuals to try to imagine themselves artists. When in reality, they resemble those very early auditions on American Idol that are shown on several of the initial shows each seaso to show the absolute idiocy and self denial of those who couldn't sing if they had a CD player in their mouth actually performing the music.

Pain in the ass but slowly they go away. Rap,,,,,isn't that stuff that has the same rhythm to everything, and they throw swear words into it??
