Courtney Love Reveals Fears Over Daughter's Wealth

In a move Frances Bean Cobain probably won't thank her for, Courtney Love has revealed the extent of her daughter's trust fund. According to the singer, her only child with Kurt Cobain rakes in a cool $480,000 (£304,000) a year from the late Nirvana frontman's estate, Metro reports.

"She lives in a mansion by herself. A 17-year-old getting $40,000 (£25,416) a month is outrageous to me, that's on top of them paying for the mansion. It's a lot of money for a normal person," said Love.

The Hole frontwoman also revealed her fears about the possible negative impact of the teenager's hefty bank balance. "It's enough money to kill her, if she is doing drugs," said the singer. "Enough money to be gone by the time she's 22."

Love didn't specify whether she suspected Frances Bean of actually using drugs, or whether she had just done the calculation to be on the safe side.

Love's apparent resentment of her daughter's wealth is understandable, considering her widely reported legal and financial troubles of recent years. The rocker made a musical comeback this year with 'Nobody's Daughter', the first official Hole album since 1998's 'Celebrity Skin'.
