The Strokes singer has expressed his desire to pen a theme for the New York baseball team, reports Gigwise.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Casablancas -- who, of course, has recently forged a solo career too -- said he would be interested in writing a Mets theme for television.
And he's already got plans for the tune and just has to wait and see if the team give it the thumbs up or not.
He said, "My next thing is I want to write the new TV theme song for the Mets. I'm totally serious - I have some ideas, I have to see if they like it."
It'd be sure to keep the New York man relatively busy as the recording of the new Strokes album continues to drag on. As previously reported by Spinner, the singer proclaimed that the new album will be "fantastic" but joked that it has been a "labour" to record so far.
Casablancas played solo this year at the T in the Park and Glastonbury festivals.
