Green Day, Slash to Play New York Jets' Home Opener

To celebrate the first regular season game at the new Meadowlands stadium, the New York Jets will have quite the soundtrack as they look to beat the Baltimore Ravens. As NJ.com reports, Green Day and Slash will bring their rock 'n' roll intensity to the Sept. 13 game.

For their halftime performance, Green Day won't be alone. The Grammy-winning rockers are set to play 'Last of the American Girls' with the cast of the 'American Idiot' musical.

Before the game, Slash and Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls are scheduled to perform during the night's tailgate concert, which will take place outside of the stadium. Scherzinger is also slated to sing the national anthem.
