The show, slated for Sept. 25 at the ill-fated venue Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis, will be free of charge for ticket-holders for the original concert, reports STLToday.com.
Cut-price tickets priced at $10 will also be available for the concert for those who weren't scheduled to attend the original July 23 date, which was closed down after only three songs when pigeons started to defecate on the stage, as previously reported by Spinner.
Bassist Jared Followill, who was a particular victim of the pigeon's enthusiasm, said that a 'make-up' show was always in their minds.
He said, "As soon as what happened happened, we knew we were going to come back. We knew (leaving) would be horrible, and we knew people were not going to be happy. We were just trying to figure out the best way and the easiest way to get back and make it better."
Followill also took the chance to refute conspiracy claims that the incident was an attempt to cover up the band's alleged inebriation, and also reports that there was only one solitary pigeon.
Speaking of the drunken claims, he added, "That's definitely not true. We weren't going to leak the pictures, but we have pictures of the (droppings) all over my gear. And a lot of people think it's one pigeon. How can it be one pigeon? It was a ton of them."
