In Their Words: "AM/FM is one of the first songs we wrote for the album and is about you. Yes, that's right: You. It's about driving in the car and realizing the song's lyrics are all about you. You can never hear that song the same way again, and you always remember that moment. We started jamming to a loop of a Colombian song from the '70s called 'Elyoyo' by Wganda Kenya.
