The band brought director Jeremy Lutter onboard and, after fleshing out the initial idea, they began filming in April. Turns out, April isn't the most ideal time of year to go wading in the Pacific Ocean. In fact, as you can see in the background of the video, Washington's Olympic Mountains were still covered in snow.
That didn't stop Freybe-Smith from going through with it, but it did give her an excuse to get a performance booster in the form of a little whiskey. "I had a little bottle of Jameson's on shore that I could take a few sips from in between takes, so that helped keep my motor running," she says. "I remember thinking afterwards, 'I'm no Gisele, so who knows what the footage will look like?' But that sure was a neat experience that I will think back to when I'm old and crispy and wondering what the hell life is all about."
For those who don't want to wait that long to find out, check out the video below, after the jump.
