Noel Gallagher to Attend Russell Brand's Stag Party

Noel Gallagher has revealed that he will be attending the sure-to-be-debauched stag party of Russell Brand.

In an interview with UK radio station Talksport, former Oasis guitarist Gallagher said, "I have been invited [to the wedding], and I'm going out on the stag do, but I'm not going to be his best man and I'm not going to be an usher either; I don't know what I'm going to be."

On the stag, do he said, "I have no idea [who is going]. I imagine me and him, his mate Matt [Morgan], all the people that work for him and his comedian mates.

"I'll just be the token northerner."

Russell Brand is set to wed pop star Katy Perry later this year, in India. On that star-studded wedding Gallagher joked, "He's going to come down the aisle on a flying carpet, and the pre-nup is going to be brought in on an elephant."

On his day job -- being a musician -- he also revealed that he is working with another, unnamed, musician, saying "[I'm] playing drums this week on a session for someone else."

He also discussed being stuck in a lift with his brother Liam. "It was in France in 1998. it was horrific. We didn't say a word to each other for three quarters of an hour."

In a probing interview he also revealed that he wears his shoes while watching 'Match Of The Day' he's recently been on holiday to St Tropez, and he is building a huge octagon shaped shed at the bottom of his garden, which is "like Blenheim Palace."

Work continues on Gallagher's solo record in the meantime, although no release date, title or tracklist have yet been revealed.
