Kasabian 'Crash Wedding During V Festival Celebrations'

Just hours after their headlining appearance at V Festival in Chelmsford on Sunday, Aug. 22, Kasabian apparently found themselves gatecrashing a wedding as they celebrated with friends.

The Sun reports that the Leicester band, due now to go on hiatus before starting work on their next album, were partying in a Hertfordshire hotel with guests including Noel Gallagher and Zac Starkey. Two wedding celebrations were taking place in adjacent function rooms, and as the liquor flowed, Kasabian's party tried to ingratiate themselves with them. Although rejected at first, wedding revellers eventually recognised the stars trying to join them and the two parties became one.

Kasabian vocalist Tom Meighan had earlier identified the two weddings and had anticipated joining them, saying: "There's an Indian wedding and then another wedding. It's going to be insane when everyone finds each other in the building."

Meanwhile, in an interview quoted on Gigwise, guitarist Sergio Pizzorno said that demos for the new LP had already been recorded, with the album set to be "like a jukebox ... where there's a really good selection, and you click the button and something good comes up."
