Now, the curators of the Handel House museum are letting music lovers look around the flat at No. 23 next door which, for around a year from 1968 to 1969, was home to Jimi Hendrix, the BBC reports.
The two-floor space will be open to the public for 11 days, during which fans can explore the site of the guitar legend's old kitchen, his bedroom and a guest room that hosted the likes of George Harrison and keyboard wizard Billy Preston.
Handel House is also putting on an exhibition dedicated to Hendrix, displaying artifacts from his life in London. These include a cartoon self-portrait of the rocker, a velvet jacket once worn onstage, gig posters and a custom made guitar.
Check out BBC News for a video tour of 23 Brook Street along with clips of other iconic Hendrix-related locations around the capital, including the former Bag O'Nails nightclub, where Hendrix played an early showcase gig.
