The Birmingham band, who were joined by Kasabian and Kings of Leon as top draws on the V Stage at this year's festival, told BBC 6 Music that the quartet are keen to get back into the studio as soon as possible to begin recording the follow-up to 2009's 'In This Light and on This Evening'.
Drummer Edward Lay said, "We want to get involved in writing new music as soon as possible and get into an environment that we all enjoy - I think we have had enough time living with this record to know that we can be stronger and improve our song writing,"
He added, "Now we actually only have one show on the Sept. 10 with Muse in Berlin, and then we are ready, we have a couple of demos already and they are sounding excellent.
"I am genuinely excited about the two tracks we have received so far from Tom."
As well as the Berlin show, Editors are also due to play with Muse at Lancashire County Cricket Ground on Sept. 4.
