Though robot masks would become their trademark, when Daft Punk released their debut album, 'Homework,' in 1997, their face coverings were less spacey. The French duo insisted the masks were used to keep the focus on the music and not celebrity, never revealing their faces in concerts, TV interviews or even promo shots like this one.
