CMJ Reveals Initial Lineup for 2010 Marathon

But it's not just about what's hot and young at the moment, either. Indie rock luminaries such as ex-Galaxie 500/Luna frontman Dean Wareham's Dean and Britta project, Afghan Whigs/Gutter Twins alum Greg Dulli, Helmet and Jason Isbell are all scheduled to appear.
Comedian Kristen Schaal ('Flight of the Conchords,' 'The Daily Show') is also on the bill, hinting that a comedic element will be in play this year, too.
Started in 1980, the CMJ Music Marathon serves to highlight the best of what's to come in music that dominates college radio. In the past, the festival has served as starting grounds for iconic acts such as U2, R.E.M. and Nirvana. Over the course of five days, the festival mainly takes place in venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn.
