LCD Soundsystem Praise Fans at Leeds Festival

"We really do appreciate this," he said. "You guys must be f------- tired. Why don't you stay with us instead of going to see the Guns N' Roses, man?" Indeed, the three days of hard partying had started taking its toll on many of Leeds' festivalgoers by late afternoon but those with sturdy feet and a hardened mood for partying were treated to a driving set intent on wringing every last ounce of energy from them.
With only an hour at their disposal, LCD Soundsystem set the controls for the heart of the pelvis with a streamlined selection of their finest moments. It kicked off with a spectacular reading of 'Us V Them' -- clearly enjoying himself, Murphy left his microphone at frequent intervals to add extra percussion.
The final run of 'Tribulations,' 'Movement' and 'Yeah' found LCD Soundsystem detonating an already combustible audience. The cheers continued long after their exit. Let's hope they're not the last live celebrations LCD Soundsystem
