Keane, 'Clear Skies' -- Video Premiere

During the opening few shots of Keane's new 'Clear Skies' video, it looks almost as if the Britpop band is on one of those soundstages that were popular sets for so-called "live performance" videos from the 1980s, complete with a backdrop featuring the band's logo on it. But then the camera cuts to a crowd shot and it becomes clear that the true backdrop for this video is a certain tree line surrounding the outdoor venue. The video was actually filmed earlier this summer during Keane's unique "Forest Tour" when the band performed six shows in six different forests in the UK.

"These places are in corners of the country that you don't really get to on a regular circuit," Keane tells Spinner. "The sun goes down while we are playing with a backdrop full of these trees; it's almost like putting on your own festival and we get to headline."

The 'Clear Skies' video captures some of the vibe of what must've surely felt like magical shows to attend. For those that were unable to make it, you'll want to check it out below.
