Krautrock legend Michael Rother teamed with Sonic Youth's Steve Shelley and Tall Firs' Aaron Mullen for Hallogallo 2010, playing classic songs from Rother's Neu! and Harmonia projects. Official ATP house band, the Steve Albini-fronted trio Shellac unleashed a full-on sonic assault under harsh white lights, Avi Buffalo took the art of the guitar solo to new heights, the Breeders' lovable Deal sisters radiated good cheer and Explosions in the Sky sent spirits soaring during a typically transcendent show. Sonic Youth ended the evening with a solid, feedback-heavy set that leaned heavily on tracks off 'Daydream Nation.'
