As a 16-year old in Vegas, he was away from home and his parents and admits that this care-free time helped him from falling into the usual rock n' roll cliches.
Speaking to radio station XFM (via Gigwise), Flowers said, "When I was 16 I was [in Las Vegas] and my parents were living in another state. When I was that age, it was very fun ... We all got our fake IDs and went through that. I guess it was good I got it out of my system."
Flowers remembers working in the casino fondly. "It was exciting for me to work for tips and the hustle and bustle."
As reported by Spinner last month, the singer recently made his first live appearance as a solo artist where he previewed tracks from debut solo album 'Flamingo' – due out Sept. 6 in the UK and Ireland, Sept. 14 in the US and Canada.
