According to the Associated Press, Winehouse and Ronson worked on a cover of Lesley Gore's 1963 hit song 'It's My Party,' which Jones originally produced. "Amy and I are both incredibly honored and excited to be recording this song for Quincy. The regard she holds him in is second to none," Ronson said in a statement. "We've gone back and forth on this track, fixing and improving it until we were satisfied it was good enough for Quincy."
The pair have previously collaborated on the singer's 'Back to Black' album and a cover of 'Valerie' by the Zutons, which became a hit single from Ronson's 2007 record, 'Version.'
While there are no details explaining why the duo picked 'It's My Party,' Jones told Billboard in March that "each artist picked a song that resonated with them for different reasons."
Jones is very excited about Winehouse and Ronson's collaboration, effusively praising the pair. "Amy's talents as an artist are undisputable and I am astounded not only by her voice but by her tremendous knowledge of and respect for music and its history," Jones said in a statement. "I am thrilled that she and Mark wanted to be a part of this album and I absolutely love what they did to make the song their own."
'Q: Soul Boss Nostra' releases in Novemeber.
