Noah Howard, Jazz Saxophonist, Dead at 67

Born in New Orleans, Howard performed with Louis Armstrong and was a force in the early Free Jazz movement. He became a leader for New York-based label ESP in 1966 with the Noah Howard Quartet.
Although he was an innovator in jazz, Howard was not received well in the US and ended up moving to France in 1972 then to Belgium in 1983, where his music was greatly praised. Howard released over 28 records, including 2010's 'Voyage,' which was inspired by his travels.
"He went everywhere, Africa, India, all over Europe," said Howard's wife Dr. Lieve Fransen, who first met the musician in Africa more than 30 years ago. "He met many musicians, many artists. He loved to see different music and the people making it."
A funeral service for Howard will be held in the Royal Chapel in Brussels on Sept. 10.

Well, having listened to part of the video I can see why he was apparently not well liked in the US. Hence why some readers haven't heard of him, myself included.
But can't we just leave the people who can't be nice alone? All it does is trigger further obnoxiousness.
All else aside, rest in peace indeed, Mr. Howard.
