John Lydon Settles Assault Lawsuit

John Lydon's anger has finally caught up with him. The Sex Pistols singer formerly known as Johnny Rotten has settled out of court for an undisclosed amount in a lawsuit that was filed against him by a television producer/assistant who claimed he punched her in the face.

Roxanne Davis asked a Los Angeles judge to dismiss the case on Friday, according to TMZ. Her lawyer, Keith Fink, confirmed to the site that the suit "has been satisfactorily settled."

The reality TV producer alleged that Lydon -- who also fronts Public Image Ltd. -- had assaulted and sexually harassed her while he was serving as a judge on a show they were both working on. Lydon was apparently displeased with his room at L.A.'s Ritz Carlton hotel and flew into a fit of rage.

It's not the first time Lydon has been involved in an assault case: in 2008, members of his entourage allegedly attacked Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke at Barcelona's Summercase festival.
