The Nashville-raised singer-songwriter first became incensed when a heckler yelled for 'Freebird.' According to Undercover, Earle responded by saying, "F--- 'Freebird.' I hate Lynyrd Skynyrd."
When someone in the crowd asked for Earle to take off his shirt, he declined. Moments later, an attendee threw a shirt at the singer that landed on Earle's guitar, which prompted the performer to yell "F--- you" at the crowd and leave the stage. Earle apparently trashed his room, which led to the venue pressing charges for assault and battery. He was reportedly fined $200.
The overnight stint in jail caused Earle to miss a Louisville radio appearance, for which he apologized in a Twitter post, before tweeting, "Radio Radio in Indy and all its staff can kiss my f---ing a--!"

Justin has entered rehabilitation and suspended the rest of his tour. We all have "demons", let the one whom doesn't, cast the first stone (shirt).

September 21 2010 at 2:32 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAs far as I am concerened, most of the people commenting here don't even know who this guy is. Alot of actors and singers are just like we are. The only difference is that they have money and they can pay for their tantrums. Better than beating on someone or killing someone. Give the guy a break, he's human I am sure you've done stupid thing in your life too. He paid for the damage and the damge seems to bother you more than it did anyone else. Who cares if he breaks some furniture, at least he didn't break up his girl or someone else. Rockers and Country folk are all like us they have bad days

September 21 2010 at 2:02 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI don't understand why people bother paying money to go see a performer and then intentionally try to anger and antagonize them by throwing things at them. If you don't like or respect the performer, stay home.

September 21 2010 at 1:20 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyi've never heard of him, but if i did and had tickets for a future concert i would ask for my money back. if enough people did likewise and his concerts were only half filled or less, he'd have a lot of promoters telling him look don't come we're not in business to lose money. then he could blame the whole world for his problems

September 21 2010 at 12:17 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI was at the Oak Ridge Boys' publishing company a several years ago when Steve Earl (this punk's father) said to the then-manager of the Oaks' company - Noel Foxx - made this statement, "...I would stand on Bob Dylan's Coffee Table and tell Dylan that Townes Van Zandt is a better songwriter than Dylan..."
I said to Steve, "...I don't think Dylan would let you stand on his coffee table..."
Steve got kind of angry...A year or so later, Steve Earl was riding on Dylan's bus and Opening shows for him. Shows you how much class - well, you fill in the rest...
