Big Hassle
"This is kind of strange for us because it was in a movie called 'Going the Distance' that we played this song," frontman Nathan Nicholson admitted before performing 'If You Run.' "And we filmed it here so that's the last time we were here. We were playing this song in front of extras."
But reliving that moment wasn't what shocked Nicholson, it was how many people showed up to see them play. "So we're on our first US tour," he said. "We've played New York a few times before, but this is by far the biggest. We're used to playing to 20 people but I'll adjust."
Boxer Rebellion entertained the crowd with songs their two studio records, 2005's 'Exits' and their latest 'Union' and even premiered a few new tracks that they're working on for the band's upcoming studio album. "We've been spending the rest of the year writing and recording a new album," Nicholson said before debuting 'Step Out of the Car.'
Grateful for all the support, he jumped off the stage during the last song of the night, 'Watermelon,' and danced with fans, revealing to them that it was a night he'll never forget.
