Video: 'It's Hard to Be Humble (When You're From Alabama)'
Highlight: "The video was shot by my friend and amazing filmmaker, Natalie Johns as we went about our business during a week of shows in the NYC area," Matt Houck of Phosphorescent tells Spinner. "She came along to several shows and filmed whatever she liked. After seeing some of her footage from that week, I asked her if she wanted to make the video. To me, any accompanying visual for this song required a documentarian's touch. The song doesn't ask for an extra narrative or any esoteric exploration -- it's just a straightforward boogie-type-thing. A rock 'n' roll lament. I figured a video that exalted in some rock 'n' roll tropes would be appropriate."
