David Bowie Publishing Photo Book

A master of visual arts as well as rock 'n' roll, David Bowie has confirmed he is at work on a book titled 'Bowie: Object' after word first leaked about the project a few weeks ago. News of a photo book, which will feature 100 objects belonging to the singer, first surfaced on the Publishers Weekly website, prompting the musical chameleon's representatives to come clean on his official website.

The project boasts "fascinating items that give an insight into the life of one of the most unique music and fashion icons in history," according to an official statement. In addition to its pictures, 'Bowie: Object' will also include "insightful, witty and personal text written by Bowie himself."

Although there is no release date yet, Bowie's site says the book is "a collection of pieces from the Bowie archive, wherein, for the first time, fans and all those interested in popular culture will have the opportunity to understand more about the Bowie creative process and his impact on modern popular music."

The Thin White Duke has teamed with London graphic designers Barnbrook for the project, which is expected to come in various colors and promises a clean, modern look.
