White Hinterland, 'No Logic' -- Video of the Day
- Posted on Oct 1st 2010 6:00PM by Marina Galperina
Artist: White Hinterland
Video: 'No Logic'
Highlight: "'No Logic' was constructed with a variety of vocal, ukulele and steel drum loops that remind me of an EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon, something Ghost Hunters use to capture paranormal activity)," Casey Dienel of White Hinterland tells Spinner. "In some places, I took my lead vocal and spliced it up, replaying the screwier version in tandem with the original to levitate the song and allow it to move in opposing directions all at once. Solomon Chase, inspired by that spectral quality, took us out to the woods one night outside of Asheville, N.C. with an infrared camera and a ring light. There we proceeded to contact ancient spirits, sing to the stars and burn a laptop. All in a day's work."
