Record Label Young Turks said on Twitter on Wednesday night, Oct. 6, that they nor the band were asked if the political party could use their music -- and that they "certainly don't approve" of David Cameron's party, reports NME.
The Conservatives recently held their annual party conference in Birmingham and used an XX song as backing music -- something which hasn't gone down too well with the band and their label.
Young Turks said on their Twitter page, "Apparently David Cameron and the Tories used a xx song during their party conference."
They soon after added, "The xx/YoungTurks weren't invited to any party, didn't approve the use of their music at the party and certainly don't approve of said party."
It's certainly not the first time a band has been irked by political parties using their songs to aid their speeches and conferences. As previously reported by Spinner, Keane were 'horrified' after their song 'Everybody's Changing' at a Conservative event, whilst in America, the likes of Bon Jovi took offence to their music being used in John McCain's presidential campaign in 2008.
