"It was a slow and smooth process," says lead singer Ben Fox. "Our manager had been in constant contact with [Dine Alone] and, after some label reps saw us play a house party at last year's Pop Montreal, they started coming out to our shows and we built a relationship."
Though they may be new to the label, the group members, who have worked the indie club scene since 2008, are already familiar with some of the roster.
"I've known Max from the Arkells since we were young and we're friends with the guys from Tokyo Police Club," Fox says of his new label-mates. "We're definitely the new guys and haven't met a lot of [the bigger acts] but I think there's a good sense of family.
"They've all been super welcoming and supportive of the band. Which is the most you could ask for in a label."
Dinosaur Bones' first Dine Alone release will be the John Drew-produced 'Birthright' EP -- due Nov 2nd -- followed in the new year by their debut album, 'My Divider.'
