Deadmau5 Kills It at Treasure Island

The crowd at Treasure Island Music Fest's dance party day one reserved their greatest enthusiasm for the phantasmagorical light show and club beat extravaganza of Canadian electro house cartoon mouse Deadmau5.

Of course, Deadmau5 isn't really a dead cartoon mouse; it's producer Joel Zimmerman, performing while wearing a cartoon mouse head. Zimmerman had a surprisingly couple-heavy crowd kissing and groping to pleasers like 'Ghosts N Stuff' and 'Sometimes Things Get, Whatever.'

"Sometimes things get complicated," Deadmau5 refrained. But judging by the way his fans were dancing, things were really quite simple. Dance music can be a very effective aphrodisiac.
