LCD Soundsystem Closes Long First Day of Treasure Island Fest

Nearly half the crowd had headed for the shuttles by the time LCD Soundsystem had gotten through the first six songs of their set, including recent classic All My Friends,' 'Drunk Girls' and 'You Wanted a Hit' from their latest album 'This Is Happening.' Perhaps their fans were eager to get an early start on day two of the festival.
"We're used to him playing in short shorts," Murphy joked, referring to his drummer Pat Mahoney's long pants. The crowd barely reacted and the band launched into the song 'I Can Change.' Unfortunately, LCD Soundsystem couldn't change the cold, tired crowd to which they played their hearts out.
