Spinner Celebrates CMJ 2010 With Live Sets From PVT, Young Man and OFF!

CMJ Music Marathon takes place this week and Spinner's in on the action with streaming sets from some of our favorite acts. We kicked things off with Michna, Jamie Lidell and Gold Panda earlier in the week, and next, PVT, Young Man and OFF! will take over our studio with live performances on the Interface from AOL headquarters in New York City.

PVT: The experimental band from Sydney, Australia are known for their blend of indie rock and electronica. With songs ranging in composition from heavy, synth-driven tracks to anthemic indie rock pieces, it is no wonder they draw inspiration from similarly eclectic artists such as Talking Heads and Brian Eno.

Young Man: Colin Caulfield was an English major in college -- and his musical alter ego Young Man takes his talent for story-telling to a whole new level. Young Man's lyrics and vocal harmonies on his latest EP 'Boy' signify his move from a boy to a man, and the airy, dreamlike quality of his arrangements add to the wonder of his coming of age tales.

OFF!: The Los Angeles punk band may be newcomers in their own right, but all four of OFF!'s members are veteran rockers. The supergroup, which is led by Black Flag and Circle Jerks' frontman Keith Morris, just released their debut EP. OFF! also features members from Burning Brides, Redd Kross and Rocket From the Crypt.
