Jack White to Appear on First Episode of 'Conan'

Jack White has been an ardent Team Coco supporter for years, so it only stands to reason that he would be tapped to help old pal Conan O'Brien launch his new late-night talk show. White has been confirmed as the first-ever musical guest on 'Conan,' when the show launches Monday, Nov. 8 on TBS.

It's still unclear if White will perform solo, with one of his bands or, perhaps, alongside O'Brien, with whom he recorded a live album earlier this year. Those sessions, tracked in June at his Third Man compound in Nashville with the comedian and his Legally Prohibited Band, also netted a spoken-word single as part of the label's Green Series.

O'Brien and White's friendship took shape back in 2003, when the White Stripes promoted 'Elephant' with a week-long run of appearances on 'Late Night With Conan O'Brien.' In 2009, the band appeared on the final episode of 'Late Night,' and O'Brien also joined the band for an appearance in its 'Denial Twist' music video.

Alongside White, 'Conan' will welcome comedic actor Seth Rogen for its TBS debut. Soundgarden and Fistful of Mercy will appear on Nov. 9 and 10 respectively.
