School of Seven Bells Drummer Proposes to Girlfriend Onstage

Anyone who went to Santos Party House on Saturday night to see School of Seven Bells were in for an extra special treat. As the dream-pop band was about to end its set, touring drummer Zachary Saginaw called his girlfriend, Marie, onstage. After two minutes, she finally appeared and Saginaw, who also performs with his own band Shigeto, popped the question.

"The last six weeks has been really hard, but will you marry me?" Sagniaw said, getting down on one knee in front of the packed New York venue.

Marie met him on the floor and said "oui" on the mic, which caused an eruption of cheers throughout Santos Party House. The couple has not announced a wedding date as of yet.

Meanwhile, School of Seven Bells will be appearing on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' on Wednesday and perform on at Moog Fest on Oct. 30.

I love you both so much... And what a beautiful and courageous announcement of LOVE! A public commitment ceremony of the most Brooklyn sort. Hugs and kisses from the West side! All these nasty comments are obviously just cause people are jealous... True Love is not to be found on every street corner you know.

You people who comment on here are such douches. Just because they don't get played on KIIS fm or KROQ or what every pop station you have in your area. Doesn't mean they are a nobody. You should try and get out of the office or house once and a while it helps you hear about new things. You might not seem so out of the loop. I see how your confusion brings anger and the urge to voice your ignorant opinion. You know what they say about opinions.
