Gene Simmons in Hospital After Collapsing at Airport

Website TMZ reports that the 61-year-old bassist, reality TV star and sometime actor cut his head after fainting at LAX airport. Doctors at the hospital concluded Simmons was suffering from dehydration and released the star the following day. Reports that LAX was "hotter than hell" at the time of the incident remain unconfirmed.
The hospitalisation occurred just days after two of Simmons' websites, genesimmons.com and simmonsrecords.com, were closed down by a shadowy group of Internet users called Anonymous who carried out a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on them.
The Irish Times reports that the group -- who are opposed to to anti-piracy sites -- responded to Simmons' call at the MIPCOM 2010 conference in Cannes, France that business people should take legal action to protect their brands and not make the same mistakes as the music industry.
Refusing to -- ahem -- hold his tongue, Simmons fumed, "Sue everybody -- take their homes, their cars. Don't let anybody cross that line."
He added that the music industry "didn't have the balls to sue every fresh-faced, freckle-faced college kid who downloaded material."
Simmons has now threatened the group with legal action and the FBI.

This old Granny has never seen the "Kiss" performans and all that.. However, Gene Simmons is very clever bussinesman. More power to him. His music is world renown, thanks to Gene's ability to promote his group all over the world. His musiccal talent and the rest of the bands, has been years and years of hard work. WHY SHOULD SOME PUNK KIDS COME ALONG AND STEAL HIS WORK FOR FREE.. Gene has earned his rewards with his and the bands talent and NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT FOR HIS WORK BY STEALING THEM. Gene is a narcissistic jerk. Kiss was really lucky to come up with a gimmick to disguise 4 ugly guys that write the corniest songs on the planet. I wish they would retire and go away. It's old already! NEXT!!

I first saw KISS in 1975 in Detroit...and I knew they were going to be big. I never thought they were going to be so successful and still rocking 35 years later!!!
Some people like KISS and some people don't. At least we can still express our opinions without fear like in some other countries. God Bless the USA!!!!

Trish, you know nothing. Gene Simmons is far from a jerk.
When I worked for an AOR radio station in Houston, Texas, he came to our Rock & Roll auction to perform, donate and help us auction off various R & R items for charity. At the meet and greet prior to the auction at his hotel, he spent 90% of his time talking to the teens in the lobby. No other rocker we ever had at an auction did that! He is a GENUINE nice guy!

Gene is 100% correct.....the public whines like babies about not being able to pirate songs on the internet...But turn it around, you create a product that has intelectual value, it is your livelyhood. Then someone or millions of someones STEAL it from you.....You would be singing a different tune....all the way to your lawyers office!
